Following a lengthy RFP process, a global pharmaceutical company, Pfizer, has appointed the rapidly growing Eclipse Communications as its local communications partner. The agency will manage and execute Pfizer’s communications objectives in South Africa and sub-Saharan Africa.
Pfizer’s research, development and manufacture of innovative medicines and vaccines, which offer breakthroughs aimed at improving patients’ lives, have positioned it as a leading patient-centric brand globally.
Eclipse Communications Managing Director: Johannesburg and Africa, Cheryl Reddy, explains that the agency is driven to develop communication strategies that bolster the brand’s already strong reputation as an industry leader and continue to enhance its business success.
“We believe that our collective industry experience, strategic and creative inputs and vast media/influencer relationships will be the perfect combination to enhance Pfizer’s reputation across sub-Saharan Africa. As one of the world’s premier, innovative biopharmaceutical companies, we are thrilled to be part of the team, communicating the brand’s collaboration with healthcare providers, governments and local communities to support and expand access to reliable, affordable healthcare,” says Reddy.
Vuyo Mjekula, Communications Lead for Pfizer South Africa and SSA adds that the company is excited about its partnership with Eclipse Communications, noting that the deciding factor for the agency’s appointment was its attention to detail and extraordinary strategic ideas, which both parties believe will be the key to Pfizer’s continued success in demonstrating its commitment to patients.
“We see Eclipse Communications as an essential partner in support of our passion to strive for a healthier Southern Africa, and we are excited for what this future relationship holds,” concludes Mjekula.
